MAIN MISSION


The
Plastics Circular Economy Department aims to define, develop and promote Axens' offer in the domain of plastics recycling, and is responsible of the industrial and commercial deployment, in coordination with the other Business Divisions and ROCs.

To support the expansion of the activity, the technology group is looking for a new
Technolgy Engineer to join the team.


The plastic circular economy is an emerging market supported by voluntary pledges of major brands to reduce plastic pollution and a progressive implementation of regulatory frameworks.

As Technology Engineer, you will have a key role to contribute to Axens' success on this highly strategic and competitive market.

Based in Rueil-Malmaison and under the responsibility of the Technology Group Manager, your main activities would be:

MAIN ACTIVITIES

  • Presentation of the offer to customers and preparation of technical proposals. For this, you define the technical requirements with the customer and then select and develop the appropriate technical solution, including process scheme, operating conditions, optimization of energy requirement, investments cost and guarantees. Simulation is a key activity for this position.
  • Contribution to the business activity by providing technical support to the sales and business developers when defending technical proposals for customers and promote the products that you are in charge of through marketing actions: publications, presentations at conferences and seminars.
  • Strong contribution to the continuous improvement of the technology portofolio by R&D followup, technical innovation, extension of the technologies portofolio,
  • Support for the business intelligence by contributing to competition review, market analysis, regulatory review and simplified financial modeling
  • Coordination with the Business developers and Sales Managers of the Commercial Division, as well as Modular proposal managers, Marketing, Legal, Experts and Technology Development & Innovation.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
***- You hold a master of engineering or equivalent and have a good understanding of the refining and petrochemicals technologies.

  • You have already a first experience in engineering or in a technology group
  • You are knowledgeable of simulation tools like Pro II or equivalent
  • A very good level of English is fundamental for this position.
***RELATED SKILLS

  • You are motivated and determined to contribute in Axens' development in this emerging market that is highly competitive.
  • You are curious and keen to develop your process engineering skills to improve the technology portfolio and looking for new technical solutions. You are able to think "ouf of the box".
  • You have taken some initiatives and have a critical eye on data and results
  • You have good public relations skills as well as strength of conviction, in particular when providing commercial support.
  • You have good communications skills, written and oral. Key to ensure smooth and continuous team work.
  • You value the team work and are keen to teach or be taught by other team members
  • Availability to travel abroad for short periods.
