Category Support Buyer

  • Your future position?


As a Category Support Buyer, you will develop and implement strategies (and related tactical plans) to source small spend RM categories and secure supply for those categories in line with business plan and under supervision and guidance by a Global Category Buyer.

You will support a Global Category Buyer in transactional tasks.


You will:

Sourcing Strategy (with the guidance of Global Category Buyer and Segment BP):
Help in development and implementation of RM category strategies
Analyze market and implement risk management strategies for the portfolio
Where applicable, lead sourcing strategy development within cross functional team for key categories
Drive sourcing strategy implementation by leading RFQs and negotiations on specific scope of raw materials
Portfolio Management
Negotiate contracts on specific scope of raw materials
Select, manage and audit suppliers
Communicate to suppliers any forthcoming changes in demand/specifications
Ensure adequate contract cover for materials and supplier compliance to contracts
Ensure vendor performance at target levels
Stakeholder Relationship
Communicate to key internal stakeholders/Segment BP any market conditions changes which may affect the Business
Actively support the responsible sourcing projects implementation & provide information to Procurement Sustainability Manager when needed
Lead GBS/Ops/Finance escalated supplier conflict (supply, quality, invoices related issues) resolutions
Coordinate supplier's mid-year and end-year reviews preparation with internal stakeholders
Cost Optimization ( with the guidance of Global Category Buyer and Segment BP )
Provide sufficient information for business planning process
Develop cost reduction projects
Provide price forecast and market trends for key commodities


System management:

Maintain price and contracts in SAP
Raw materials localization procurement steps in SAP
New Ingredient Introduction process
Vendor data management
Lead and coordinate the Alternative Vendor Approval Process for Active Beauty raw materials
Support the Vendor Performance Monitoring process by providing compiled data to the Global Category Buyer

Your professional profile includes:


Academic Background:
University degree preferred or equivalent experience


Professional experience:

1-3 years' experience in Procurement and/or functional experience
Fresh graduates are considered
Knowledge of F&F/FMCG/Chemical industry a plus
Specific technical and market knowledge in the respective category a plus
International exposure in previous role a plus


Skills:

Fluent in English and French, other languages a plus
Some negotiation skills
Cultural awareness and adaptable to fast changing business requirements
Passion for success with a high energy level
