ABOUT THE JOB

Our Team

How can one company spark a million conversations that change the world for the better? What changes when a CEO embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) as critical to growth, performance, and innovation? And when employees all over the world join a movement to ensure every voice is heard, every person included, what comes next? You tell me.

Our Corporate Communications team is looking for a strategic comms professional to share our global DE&I story, in and beyond the workplace.

As part of People & Culture Comms in Paris, you'd join a tight group of creative people working on highly visible projects to drive positive change.

Your focus would be showing people how we follow through on our commitments, celebrate our milestones, and inspire people to build trust in one another - and in healthcare.

Main responsibilities
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are values that can't be confined to a single team or program. They're embedded in everything we do, from science and business objectives to supplier selection.

As our communications lead for DE&I, you'd partner with colleagues in Public Affairs, Diversity, Culture, Experience, and Talent teams to develop highly visible campaigns that showcase how this is giving our company an edge.

  • Transparency and accountability: Our DE&I board is a mix of external experts, executives, and employees who are putting powerful ideas into action. You'd leverage these voices to engage people with our story and develop materials that reflect our progress toward our 2029 ambitions
  • A Million Conversations (AMC): You'd partner with comms colleagues 10 countries to tell the story of how AMC is building trust in healthcare by empowering people from marginalized communities to speak directly to the healthcare industry and growing a pipeline of diverse healthcare professionals
  • Clinical trial diversity: You'd partner with our head of Clinical Trial Diversity to elevate the conversation around meaningful, concrete actions that expand opportunities for people from marginalized communities to participate in clinical research, because our research should be truly representative of the patients we aim to help
  • People and Culture: Pay equity. Representative leadership. Workplace accessibility. Growth and learning opportunities. Employee Resource Groups. Total wellbeing. All supported by a Code of Conduct that serves as our company constitution. You'd be on point for internal marketing of key programs to unleash the full potential of our employees. And you'd partner with our Employer Brand team to ensure job seekers can see how working here is an open door
  • Listening: You'd be a key partner with our Employee Listening team, engaging employees with surveys and pulses that ensure every voice is heard. Every quarter, we update company leaders by convening experts in People & Culture to create a progress report that conveys what people care about, how it's impacting their experience, and why taking action is important
  • Global toolkits, local landings: The conversation around DE&I may be global, but it's local teams who bring it home. You'd design, develop, and deliver global communication toolkits to enable local employee engagement

ABOUT YOU

  • You have significant experience (at least 5 years) of a motivated communicator who can see the big picture and operationalize a plan
  • You've developed and delivered communications projects with flair and rigor
  • You're open minded and like to explore, exchange, and try new ideas
  • You're well versed in global issues of diversity, equity and inclusion
  • You're happiest working in a team but autonomous when it comes to doing your part
  • You're confident, with strong interpersonal skills and an innate ability to network and build relationships
  • You know how to collaborate effectively
  • You're an active listener and embrace different perspectives, but you're not afraid to challenge
  • You're a trusted communication advisor, comfortable engaging with people at all levels in the organization

Technical Skills

  • Excellent, proven, core communications skills: messaging, interviewing, outlining, drafting, editing, storyboarding, briefing, liaising with creative suppliers
  • Project planning: organization, time management, stakeholder management
  • Ability to prioritize when running multiple projects and ask for help when you need it

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, for example: communications, journalism, public relations, political science, or science. If your specialty is not on this li
