    Housing/Residential Life Coordinator - Category T3

    Short Term Contract: From June to end of September

    DEPARTMENT: Housing / Residential Life

    SUPERVISOR: Siham Mouahid, Manager of Residential Life or any other supervisor designated by the President

    ROLE: Acts as the central contact for students seeking accommodation through the AUP Housing Office. Supports students by offering information, assistance, and regular updates on housing-related matters.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Process new student housing registrations through online checklist and CAMS, and communicate placement and billing details to students
    • Assist in tracking student housing payments and follow up with students who miss deadlines
    • Respond promptly to student and parent queries regarding housing
    • Ensure completion of roommate agreements for shared living arrangements
    • Update surveys and forms to align with current processes and policies
    • Coordinate housing activities for arriving students and orientation week
    • Support logistics coordinator in organizing maintenance tasks and residence preparations
    • Assist in preparing and distributing student leases
    • Collaborate with various university departments to enhance student on-boarding
    • Aid in recruiting and training Resident Assistants
    • Monitor and address maintenance and incident issues reported by students
    • Offer counseling to students facing roommate conflicts
    • Conduct housing meetings in case of misconduct
    • Assist with roommate placements and independent housing searches
    • Facilitate student visits to potential apartments
    • Process new apartment offers and manage housing database
    • Assist students with CAF applications
    • Support manager in data collection for departmental assessments
    • Undertake additional tasks assigned by supervisor
    • Engage in cross-departmental projects as required

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
    • Bilingual proficiency in English and French
    • Prior experience as a resident advisor or peer counselor in a student residence preferred
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with databases beneficial
    • Highly energetic with a positive attitude
    • Culturally aware with exposure to diverse environments
