Our strong and agile international team continues to grow and adapt to new challenges. Based in Grenoble (France), we have recently started operations our Verkor Innovation Centre (R&D centre and 4.0 pilot line).

We now focus on building the world's most modern and efficient Gigafactory in Dunkirk (France).

With this facility, our ambition is an initial annual production of 16 Gwh of lithium-ion batteries by 2025, thus powering 300,000 electric vehicles annually.

The Sourcing Transport & Logistic commodity leader is responsible to define and organize the sourcing of Logistic & Transportation for Verkor entities.

You will be responsible to define the Commodity Strategy jointly with the Stakeholders and Management for the entire Verkor existing entities (VIC, Giga Factories).

The strategy of logistic commodity will be linked to Verkor ambition to ensure, competitive decarbonized transportation of its production equipment, Raw Material and finish goods.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement transportation strategies to optimize the inbound & Outbound flow in CO2, Quality, cost & Lead Time.
The defined strategy should be aligned to the current and future needs of the businesses.
Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Be a key business partner inside our Team Project and Operation to manage the reliability of the best transportation sourcing options for Verkor entities (full scope of commodities: raw material, components, equipment for manufacturing, MRO, industrial supplies, ), strong interaction with the entire Sourcing & Supply chain Teams.
Manage relationship with the main Transport and Customs Clearence vendors.
Expert in transport mode (road, sea, train, air,..).
Lead vendors selection, manage relationship, negotiate & Contractualise
Define and drive the Logistic and Transportation strategy and decision at Verkor and key players in the market and implement. Follow the compliancy of your domain with our Sustainability ambition and commitment on CO
Be proactive partner to organize our Machine Equipment appropriate transportation strategy from Asia until our Giga Factory in Dunkirk (Transport, Custom clearance, Storage, Machines entrance in our building ,..) end to end approach to ensure GF program delivery on time.
Develop and maintain category expertise supporting our Key Stakeholders and Recommended suppliers (Supplier Orientation Chart) fostering collaboration for our future Projects.
Primary coordinator on transportation activities (load planning to maximize service/cost, tracking of shipments to ensure on time pickup/delivery within the network.
Create and develop your Team accordingly with the company needs.
Lead your activity with P&L approach and KPI's : OTD,
Responsibilities can be quickly enlarged as Verkor ambition is to move to Excellence Manufacturing.

Prerequisites:

Justified at minimum 10 years experience in Global Supply Chain and Procurement in different industries profile
Ideally Master Degree in Supply Chain Management or Procurement Management.
High knowledge in Logistic processes, Planning, Transport and Customs. Warehousing and Digitalization would be appreciated. End to End Processes.
Significant experience in Team management
Consulting, benchmark with other industry is nice to have.
