THE ROLE
The Hospitality Manager for the Olympic Games is responsible for hosts and hostesses operations at the competition venue.

Under the supervision of the Venue Manager, he/she will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of welcome staff operations at the venue (or several) to ensure a smooth and efficient execution of the hospitality operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Dedicated to one competition venue (max. 2), the Hospitality manager is responsible for supervising and coordinating hospitality welcome protocols in direct relation with the agency/ies involved.


In order to do so, the Hospitality Manager will have to develop both an operational planning and an operating scheme for the competition venue the supplier(s) will have to respect.

The Hospitality Manager will ensure that all welcome staff are:

  • fully trained
- on-site on time
- with the right numbers
- respecting the behaviour requested.


Essential Experience:

  • 3 years of experience in hospitality management for sporting events or largescale operations.
  • Strong planning and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and quickly resolve staffing issues.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Flexible working hours, including full availability during the duration of the Olympic Games.
  • Ability to coordinate operational teams composed of direct reports, multiple contractors and services suppliers in delivering high level hospitality programmes.
  • Experience in working in a multicultural organisation and with international stakeholders

Essential Skills:

  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Meticulous attention to details.
  • Flexible in a constantly evolving environment with good proactive problemsolving skills.
  • Strong project management and time management skills.
  • Good administration and IT skills including Microsoft Office and Cloud based Programmes.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Excellent team leader and developer of junior management team.
