As a Barclays Rates Structurer, you will be part of the Rates Structuring Team developing and implementing investment, hedging and capital management solutions for institutional clients (banks, insurers, and pension funds) within EMEA Macro perimeter as well as internal capital, funding and collateral optimisation solutions.

What will you be doing?
- Performing analysis of interest rates solutions across various angles from both investors and Barclays' perspective (economic, legal, compliance, tax, etc.)
- Agreeing pricing frameworks with Sales/Trading desks/control functions, handling indicative pricing requests and help execute complex packages
- Developing ondesk scripts, spreadsheets, and pricing tools to improve product innovation and efficiency within the team
- Ensuring Sales and Trading desk ideas and bespoke solutions are properly developed, priced, and marketed for daily guidance and brainstorming
- Involving infrastructure partners when negotiating a pricing framework/lines/new product approval, etc
What we're looking for:
- Good understanding of Macro Products (linear and nonlinear) with a particular focus on rates derivatives pricing
- Good quantitative background (e.g., Stats) used to generate trade analytics
- Ability to build marketing pitches for the trade ideas/solutions (e.g., explain complex products to a less sophisticated audience)
- Excellent work ethic and teamspirit skills
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Master of Science in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or any other quantitative major
- At least three years of experience in the financial services industry, specifically in a Structured Products and/or OTC rates derivatives
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize task and meet deadlines and demonstrated people skills
- Experience with programming languages such as Python
