What you'll do

This internship is based in the SAP Labs France Research Lab in Sophia-Antipolis, in the context of the Research Program "SAP Security Research" and under the "Intelligent Code Analysis" topic.

This topic aims at using state-of-the-art machine learning techniques to analyze code make it more secure.

Large Language Models (LLMs) have gained traction in different domains but concerns remain due to their tendency to hallucinate and their low accuracy in certain tasks.

  • The goal of the internship is to continue exploring the performance of LLMs in the vulnerability management process of software with open source components.
  • The intern will benchmark the performance of LLMs in different codesecurity related tasks (e.g. the detection of securityrelevant commits) and compare them to previous textbased [1] and syntactic and semantic code representations [2].
