What you will do

At Volvo Powertrain Engineering (Engine testing and drivetrain testing center in Lyon), you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large.

You will be involved in various projects aimed at integrating AI and machine learning techniques into our testing processes to enhance efficiency, reliability, and performance:

Assist in collecting, preprocessing, and analyzing test data from our powertrain test rigs.
Contribute to the development and implementation of machine learning models for predictive maintenance, performance optimization, anomaly detection, and test automation.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate AI solutions into our testing infrastructure and workflows.
Participate in experiments, testing, and validation activities to assess the performance and effectiveness of AIenabled systems.

Your future team

You will join the "Test Development" team, consisting of around ten individuals responsible for managing test equipment development projects, measurement tools, overseeing entity investments, and supporting the "Maintenance" and "Test Operations" departments.

In this role, you will bring:

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Strong understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithms.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Dotnet.
Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib).
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
