SUMMARY
This role is home-based with 30-50% travel within the territory. This role will service the Central region of the United States.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Along with those identified below, other duties may be assigned.
- Generate revenue and sales funnel growth consistent with company goals. Develop and execute a growth plan for the territory through prospecting, new account acquisition and development, as well as current account commercial and technical support.
- Responsible for close collaboration with customers and channel partners to identify customer needs and developing the appropriate Kollmorgen solution to satisfy those needs.
- Develops, presents, and negotiates pricing proposals with customers using valueselling methods.
- Provide technical sales and marketing support to customers, channel partners and channel partner sales representatives, these positions serve as a liaison between company and customer.
- Assist in defining and implementing marketing plans with Product Management team to support long term sales growth objectives and capture new customers.
- Coordinates, schedules, and executes activities (training, visits, audits, etc.) in the assigned territory in partnership with crossfunctional team members as needed.
- Assists in developing standard policies and procedures to support ABS methods and metrics.
Job Requirements:
Critical Competencies
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from fouryear college or university required; a combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree.
- 1+ years of relevant experience required.
