Software Test Technical Lead-Digital Orthopedic Surgery

DePuy Synthes , a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is seeking a Software Test Technical Lead to join our team in
Grenoble, France or in Boston US, where we are building a software platform for our Spine robotic surgery product line. Be a part of a growing team bringing innovation to patient care through technology


The Digital Orthopedic Surgery team is using robotics and digital tools for surgical teams to increase the performance, accuracy, and safety of surgical procedures.

We are creating an extensible operating room ecosystem to support our surgical products. Our vision is to create a process of continuous improvement through analysis of intra-operative and post-operative surgical data.


In this role, you will help the efforts of our surgical robotics software test team to bring to market products of the highest quality and commercial potential.

You will work alongside others on multiple software development teams to align on a meticulous development approach. Surgeons use our software to operate surgical robots and support hospital staff use it to execute their duties. Through collaboration and open feedback, you will ensure that the team is dedicated to excellence.

You will build comprehensive verification test plans and test cases while working with your team. Your collaboration with software development professionals and quality engineers will ensure our products meet exacting standards.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Strategically lead and tactically manage the test development team for the Aspen, Spine Robotics platform.
  • Guide, monitor and execute the analysis, design, implementation and execution of test cases, test procedures and test suites.
  • Identify and perform tests of functional, integration, regression, security, performance, reliability, stability, and compatibility with legacy and/or external systems.
  • Ensure proper configuration management of test deliverables and traceability of tests to requirements.
  • Utilize strong communication skills to work with SW development and SW test teams in Grenoble and Boston to analyze architecture, and designs to identify manual test strategies to provide full test coverage for new and/or existing features.
  • Work with test automation test to identify and prioritize test automation of protocols.
  • Ensuring the consistent use of our Quality Management System tools and to document Software Verification Protocols and test results
  • Follow and adhere to the bestpractices of software test engineering, QA practices and processes in the organization.
  • Provide peer review of technical and verification documents.

Qualifications:

**Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required. Preferably in an Engineering field.
  • A minimum of years of experience in technology, software development and testing are required.
  • Experience working with robotics product development teams is preferred.
  • Familiarity with regulations such as IEC 62304 and ISO 14971 and other FDA guidelines is required.
  • Experience with reviewing and revising verification plans and input requirements is preferred.
  • Familiarity with common programming languages such as C++, C#, and Python is preferred.
  • Experience using a tool or repository for managing test cases (Polarion, JIRA, JAMA etc.) is a plus.

  • This position may require up to 10% travel depending on business needs.
  • Primary location is in Grenoble, France or Boston US
