We operate across three business units:

  • Corporate Strategy: We partner with clients from the top 10 largest global firms to boutiques and private market specialists, by providing guidance across growth strategy, market entry, product development and enhancement, sustainability, and M&A support
  • Private Equity: We help private equity firms make better investment decisions at every stage of the every stage of the deal life cycle and build greater returns
  • Sustainability: We help our clients define and deliver their sustainable and responsible investment strategy and operating model. We work across the value chain to support investors and portfolio companies to define and embed their chosen approach to ESG and sustainability impact


As part of our development, we are looking for an
Engagement Manager to join our Corporate Strategy team based in Paris.

As corporate strategy consultants, our engagement tends to focus on a core set of internal strategic initiatives for our clients:

  • Shaping business development strategies (e.g. market entry, product development, business
- innovation);

  • Assessing and reviewing inorganic growth opportunities (e.g. target screening, due diligence, strategic reviews, M&A support);
  • Product development and benchmarking (benchmark, enhance and/or redesign investment process, adapting products for new markets and channels)
  • Collaborate and lead Indefi as a committed and accountable team player;
  • Champion the implications of strategy implementation across asset management organizations;
  • Act as an internal role model and ensure training of junior colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

1. Delivering projects

  • Lead strategic engagements for toptier asset managers globally by formulating the initial hypotheses, developing recommendations, and presenting our findings leadership teams
  • Ensure outputs meet the highest standards and consistently exceed client expectations
  • Coach and mentor junior team members, both formally (project feedback, semiannual reviews) and informally (project brainstorming sessions, teamwide trainings, 11 mentoring) to develop Indefi's future leaders

2. Supporting business growth and brand building
All members of the leadership team are expected to play an instrumental role in growing and expanding the business.

As an Engagement Manager, the primary focus will be on:


  • Supporting Partners in their business development efforts, both in Europe and globally
  • Contributing to the Firm's thought leadership and brandbuilding initiatives (incl. media and conferences)

For our required qualifications:

  • Graduated from a toptier business or engineering school / university;
  • Relevant prior work experience (2+ years) at either strategy consulting firms, strategy division or M&A department of international groups, investment banks, asset management or private equity firms;
  • Full Fluency in English. A good working knowledge of French or other European languages would be a plus.
