We are currently looking for our
Mechanical Development Engineer (f/m/d) for our internal start-up Hager next dedicated to technological exploration and anticipation.

The position is located in Obernai.

Your missions
Within our internal start-up Hager next and in close collaboration with the engineering team, you will be in charge of the mechanical design of our products and electrical protection systems
Your
main missions are:

Design new electrical protection products and their range of accessories and, especially integrating technical, industrial, environmental and normative constraints
Validate the robustness of mechanical technical solutions based on expertise and theoretical approaches (functional dimensioning and tolerancing, etc.)
Take into account in the components design, the industrialization needs (feasibility, repeatability, etc.), the assembly and integration constraints into the products
Ensure product performance, cost and quality on the concepts you will develop
Propose innovative and sustainable technical solutions to reinforce the customer value proposition and manufacturability in a context of strong electronics integration in our products
Prototype and validate these proposals

You will also actively contribute to the launch and development of our internal start-up.

As such, you will be involved in its roadmap and be accountable for the mechanical design, within a multidisciplinary development team integrating embedded electronics, validation and industrialization.

Your profile

You hold an engineering degree or equivalent academic qualification in mechanical or electromechanical with a strong background in mechanical design of industrial products, ideally with an experience of electromechanical/mechatronics projects design.

You have experience in projects related to technical and esthetic design using molding technologies, additive manufacturing and integration of existing technical bricks.

You are fluent in English, familiar with CREO and able to start design from initial phase.

Recognized for your leadership and your creativity you have also a strong entrepreneurial spirit and are able to work collaboratively in a constantly changing environment.
