A vacancy for a Landing Gear Systems Engineer (M/F) has arisen within Airbus Helicopters in Marignane.
In Design office, integrated in Basic Vehicle Systems development department, you will be responsible for the development of equipment of the Landing Gear Systems:

Lead or contribute to the development of main Landing Gear systems such as shock absorber, extension retraction device, and wheels&Brake. Be accountable for the dedicated sub system performance.
Coordinate all (sub)system activities on your perimeter: Identify the activities, commit on deliverables, communicate and subcontract activities when needed.
Work in close cooperation with our Aircraft Chief Engineers & architects in an integretad team.
Manage suppliers activities on your perimeter.
Work in close collaboration with Final Assembly Line, Customer Support and other Engineering departments.
You have advanced skills in System engineering (requirements, validation, verification) or true appetite to develop them,
You have ben part of development process for equipments (Landing Gear systems are a must)
You are willing to learn and transmit your knowledge
Open mindedness and team spirit are a must
You enjoy welcoming problems and are solutionoriented

Your challenges:

You will mainly be responsible:

Identify the activities of the development life cycle that are necessary to develop a system/product to meet regulation and program requirements.
Define subsystem architecture including functional and physical subsystem component break down as well the related interfaces.
Specify Subsystem requirement (export control, regulation, safety, environment, functional, performance, electrical, mechanical,...) and allocate requirements to component level and other subsystems.
Steer an external and manage Work Packages developed by a Supplier & Subcontractor from selection till final delivery.
Validated and Verify subsystem defined requirements.
Develop technical leadership in close collaboration between the Engineering and any other disciplines involved throughout the whole subsystem lifecycle.

Your profile:

You will have the following skills and experience:

Educated to 5 years' degree level (or equivalent) in Mechanic or related discipline (would be a plus).
At least 35 years of experience
Landing Gear system or related skills would be higly appreciated
Good communication, team spirit, technical curiosity, creative mindset, openmindedness
Language Skills: advanced of English & French

This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
