About this job:


We are looking for a Pricing Actuary (or depending on experience Senior Pricing Actuary) to join our French market team, reporting to the Head of Pricing France Life & Health, who can bring experience in product development.

You will be expected to make a significant contribution to the development of our pricing team and the wider enhancement of PartnerRe's Life & Health propositions.


_ Your responsibilities will include__:
_

  • Active involvement in the tender process for new and existing opportunities, collaborating with Client Partners and Medical Underwriters teams.
  • Product development, in particular, perform pricing, find optimal segmentations, answer to clients' requests, in continuous contact with Client Partners and Medical Underwriters.
  • Pricing of reinsurance treaties (proportional and nonproportional) and product design with frequent exchanges with the Commercial Team and the Medical Underwriters.
  • Conduct actuarial studies and data analysis of client portfolios to improve our internal benchmarks, defend them to the Central Pricing Team and to Reserving Actuaries.
  • Maintain and improve EMELA pricing tools for the French market.
  • Accompany and be in support of the Client Partners at client meetings.

Qualifications:


About you:

You seek challenges and are driven by a desire to add value and continuously improve. You come with a proven industry knowledge of a strategic market for PartnerRe.

You are a technically excellent individual, in line with the best actuarial standards, having a commercial sense.

You will bring expertise in
protection product design and pricing.

Moreover, you ideally have the following background and skills:

  • A qualified actuary with a (re-)insurance pricing experience, product development of portfolio analysis. An experience in insurance product development would be particularly appreciated.
  • Knowledge of
    selfemployed products, and more generally, in
    individual protection products in France.
  • Technical skills: are needed to analyze data and software can be used to create graphs and charts to present findings. Full proficiency in Excel and R is needed. Knowledge of Moody's AXIS is a plus.
  • Selfmotivated with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French (client meetings) and in English (internal stakeholders), including the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an effective way.
