OVERVIEW OF ROLE


The Offshore Personnel Logistician (OPL) has the responsibility to implement and manage the specific logistics requirements relative to the mobilization of offshore and onshore personnel in order to have an appropriate work permit to allow to have a working activity in-country.


He / She also define with the project team the adequate transfer to various onshore and offshore worksites, in-country transportation and housing activities in order to support the project efficiency.

Responsible for the efficient, timely and accurate delivery of Offshore Personnel Logistics services to customers within area of responsibility.


Specific Key Responsibilities & Activities

  • Be the single point of contact for the process of visa / working permit on a specific project either for onshore but also for offshore personnel,
  • Be the single point of contact for the organization of business activities for company personnel such as travels, visas, Hotel booking, car booking etc.,
  • Manager the travel schedule for all arrivals and departures incountry either for business visit, missions or offshore works,
  • Issue Working permit / visa status regarding overall needs for project and associated progress on weekly basis
  • Contribute to the project logistic plan relative to personnel movement incountry (onshore and offshore),
  • Issue and follow up with crewing department, the Project, Internal Departments, Offshore Resources and agent the requests for personnel movements,
  • Work in close cooperation with the Administration team to ensure all relevant paperwork is raised for all new starts prior to their mobilization and chase any missing information prior to the payroll cutoff,
  • Coordinates crew changes (On & Off) with incountry OPL and in close relationship with Project and offshore construction vessels (o/b administrative officers/agents),
  • Daily control and follow up travel schedule and travel requests,
  • Develop and maintain robust personnel tracking systems for all travelers,
  • Follow the cost expenses with agents,
  • Work with project to check volumes, costs consistency and report accurately,
  • Develop the documentation, guidelines and procedures for visas/Permits, travel booklet relative to the specific country,
  • Monitor and guide on evolution of laws, decrees, related to stay of foreigners incountry,
  • Liaise with agent and services providers for any issue with personnel and any potential claims,
  • Potential missions incountry, site visits during mobilization and / or Demobilization phases of main Construction vessels,
  • Participates in initiatives (such as development of tools & process) as and when required,
  • Develops self and encourages development of others.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential

  • BA or equivalent upper education certificate in relevant field
  • Significant experience in a previous logistics role. (Ideally within Oil & Gas Industry)
  • Good administrative and time management skills.


  • Microsoft Pack office

  • Advanced
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills and accurate reporting, both written and verbal,
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Knowledge of Health, Safety & Quality
  • Portuguese mother tongue
  • Must be fluent in (oral and written). Moreover, must be comfortable with interlocutor speaking English over the phone, from anywhere in the world.

Desirable

  • Experience with Security/Tracking
  • Knowledge of SAP Software
  • French, English, Portuguese speaking
