We are looking for
a Group Accounting Director (M/F) for our Head office in Aix en Provence.

Reporting to the CFO, the responsibilities of the Accounting Director are as follows:

Accounting

  • Ensure efficient daily management of accounting at group level,
  • Establish statutory (French GAAP) and consolidated (IFRS) financial statements at group level,
  • Calculate and record intercompany accounting entries,
  • Supervise the accounting team and local accountants in their preparation of the subsidiaries' statutory financial statements,
  • Carry out the group's tax declarations and prepare the tax forms,
  • Ensure compliance with accounting and tax obligations in each of the countries in which the group operates,
  • Prepare and supervise the work of external auditors in each country,

Management control and budget process

  • Oversee the monthly monitoring of revenue recognition,
  • Establish monthly consolidated reporting (income statement, balance sheet and cashflow),
  • Supervise the analysis each month of differences between the budget and results, and present a summary of any discrepancies,
  • Daily monitoring of operating expenses and their variations,
  • Be proactive in the automation of accounting and finance tasks (in order to optimize teamwork).

Financing and cash-flow management

  • Ensure the monitoring and respect of banking covenants.
  • Establish cashflow forecasts and update them on a regular basis,
  • Ensure accurate recording of bank entries,
  • Ensure the reliability of rules and procedures applicable to financial flows
  • Supervise the monitoring of account receivables (reminder, payment notice, etc.),

Social and administrative

  • Ensure a reliable followup of payroll,
  • Keep abreast of all social legislation having an impact on the company,
  • Analyze personnel costs and present a monthly summary of their variations and any budgetary deviations.

Optimization of the information system

  • Be proactive regarding the optimization of the ERP(NetSuite);

Position Requirements:


  • Fluent English (imperative)
  • Graduate in accounting/auditing and DSCG.
  • 510 years' similar experience in an international environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (advanced Excel skills). Solid experience with accounting ERPs (SAP, Sage, Ciel, Cegid,ideally NetSuite).
  • Knowledge and understanding of international accounting standards: IFRS, French GAAP, IAS, UK GAAP, US GAAP.
  • Project management skills (e.g. improvement of IT processes and tools).
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • Ability to manage, support and train teams, strengthen team skills.
