Description

Our client, a major player in the Telecom industry, is seeking a Telecom Support Engineer Level 3 for a permanent position (M/F).

As part of a 15-person team.


Your mission
Within the Level 3 Telecom Support team, we are looking for someone who will:

  • Provide Level 3 support for mobile core network elements, signaling, interconnection, and roaming.
  • Support/manage Level 3 incidents.
  • Manage problem and incident resolution.
  • Configuration.
Participate in the implementation of operator interconnections. Improve the operability of internally developed components (SBC, GMSC, SMS-C, SRF...). Contribute to writing technical documentation. On-call duties (1 week per month).


Location:
Near Paris.

Remote policy: 2 days per week starting from the 3rd month.

Salary range :
between €50k and €55k gross annual.


Your profile
A graduate of a telecom engineering school or equivalent, with 3 to 5 years of experience in the field. Passionate about telecom service and network engineering, curious and proactive in proposing innovative solutions. Organized and rigorous, comfortable in a dynamic environment. Native english or Fluent English and no french speaking could be OK.


Expected Skills
Understanding of mobile services and architectures: Subscriber Data Management, Voice Services, SMS, Roaming.


Advanced knowledge of Telecom protocols:
SS7, Diameter, CAMEL, MAP, SIP, ISUP. Mastery of platforms such as HLR/HSS, STP, DEA, Softswitch/MSC/G-MSC. Proficiency in Wireshark. Ability in data/statistical analysis, good command of SQL. Excellent command of Unix/Linux environments. Experience in virtualization (VMware/KVM/Xen) would be a plus.


Desired Qualities
A troubleshooter and curious by nature. Resilient in high-pressure operational/incident situations. Customer service-oriented, able to build strong relationships with external clients and internal teams. Committed and passionate about operational excellence.
