    Job Description

    • Provide technical oversight for all tank-related contracts, ensuring technical documentation, design, manufacturing, and qualification meet project requirements.
    • Contribute to technical meetings, manage issues/queries, and oversee the resolution process to maintain project integrity and progress.
    • Review and approve contractor deliverables, design modifications, non-conformances, and exemption requests, ensuring compliance with strict safety and regulatory standards.
    • Control and manage the evolution of tank-related contracts and design changes, coordinating closely with both UK and international teams, as well as suppliers.
    • Liaise with responsible designer (RD) and client teams for seamless integration of tank systems with interfacing functions/systems.
    • Communicate progress, risks, issues, and planning to support contract delivery, reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) to the Engineering Contract Lead (ECL).
    • Ensure qualification activities for tank systems align with contract progress and site requirements, contributing to the overall project success.

    Qualifications

    Essential:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or qualified through experience
    • Specialized knowledge in the design and operation of tanks and/or pressure vessels for large-scale projects like power stations, including but not limited to pressurizer tanks, boric acid storage tanks, emergency cooling tanks, and waste treatment tanks.
    • Familiarity with equipment interfaces, including safety case, systems engineering, and CDM regulations.

    Desired but not mandatory:

    • Experience and understanding of pressurised water reactor design principles
    • Nuclear mechanical equipment design, manufacture, and operations
    • Proficiency in contract management, documentary surveillance, and change-management systems (e.g., UKDC, UKICM, OPM, CEMAR, Teamcenter)
