What is my role?:


Under the supervision of ALE Logistic director, Logistic manager would be responsible for managing Logistics topics for our Business Partners or end customers, as well as liaise with others ALE internal department (Sales, Supply Chain, Quality), interacting on a daily basis with Hubs & 4PL to optimize for Stock management & inbound and outbound deliveries of materials from/to our warehouse.

Set, collect, and drive improvement plans for warehousing and shipping activities. Support on Managing Logistics variable costs and ALE Supply Chain organization.


What am I responsible for?:


4PL management

  • Daily management with Logistic lead provider to ensure all applicable ALE processes are implemented and materials are received and delivered on time
  • Develop and implement metrics to monitor warehousing activity
  • Work with Logistics actors to investigate and resolve transportation deviation and inventory issues
  • Develop and suggest process improvements.

Logistics Management -Shipping/Inventory management

  • Manage deliveries with 4PL from suppliers and to customers in a multicultural environment
  • Ensure physical inventory at warehouses is accurate and up to date and provide corresponding reports on a monthly basis
  • Ensure logistics operations and processes are fully in compliance with ALE expectation with excellence as a target
  • Support Topline for Quarter End peak of activity implementing specific actions to optimize overall pick & pack process, shipment leadtime building adequate capacity plan in line with ALE Global Logistic strategy
  • Elaborate improvement continuous plan to deep dive in Hub's performance

Communication

  • Maintenance and demonstration of superior interpersonal written and oral skills in relations with key interfaces (Project Management, Suppliers, Finance)
  • Maintain complete and effective lines of communication with staff and management
  • Validate logistics requirements when a new contract or customer is onboarded
  • Support Quality, NPI, or demands from others department relative to logistics and liaise with finance for reconciliation.
  • Support Order Management demand Defining tools, sharing costs (NRE and running costs) and implementation after EVP Operations & VP Supply Chain validation.
  • Report on a regular and periodic basis achievements, issues and goals
  • Attend and participate in meetings as required

Financial

  • Management of the Logistic Budget and corresponding invoices received from involved parties
  • Ensure correct allocation of invoices to correct cost centers and/or Projects
  • Logistics team budget setting and management with Finance team.

Am I the right person for this?:

  • Graduated with a Master or Master's degree in logistics/supply chain, with ideally 3 years of experience in international Logistics environment ideally as a Logistic expert for a service provider or forwarding company
  • Warehouse, Transportation and customs skills
  • Capacity of organization and adaptability to manage emergencies
  • Continuous discipline at work and collaborative involvement with the teams
  • Ability to step back, with constructive approach, and capitalize over difficult situation
  • Good Excel skills and ERP knowledge, preferably in SAP environment
  • Mandatory French & English
  • Permanent position based in France, Illkirch (67)
  • Rare/occasional trips are expected
