Alstom is recruiting a Requirement Manager Engineer for its Railway Rolling Stock division located in Saint-Ouen, near Paris, to develop railway projects for the European and international market.


Your responsibilities:


As Requirement Management Engineer you are responsible for the integrity and the consistency of the train level specification of a Project, defining the major train functions and performances, complying with our Customer need and the certification Standards.

You thus endorse and ensure the efficiency of this overall requirement set that steers the Train system engineering.


Your missions:


  • Transversally ensure and check requirements quality (wording and rationale)
  • Transversally ensure the consistency of the requirement structure for all the System Architecture Area
  • Build and Manage the requirements frame as a database, following the engineering process, especially their break down & interactive links
  • Manages the specification configuration in synchronisation with the overall Engineering & Manufacturing configuration management
  • Ensure that the management of tender and project requirements is performed as per the global process and methodology, as a must to finally deliver the Train that meets the contractual & certification requirements
  • Support and train, when needed, the System Engineering team on their requirements activities, especially on the toll (DOORS) and the methodology (RM process for Rolling Stock & Components) methodology and tool (DOORS)
  • Steer the requirement maturity progress, scheduled by the Design For Quality Milestones, as a support of the Chief engineer (Train Performance manager)
  • Monitor and report on the status of RM activities
You will do so in an industrial, multi-cultural and dynamic environment within our engineering project team.


Your Profile:


  • Engineer with general engineering and mechanical and/or electrical backgrounds
  • 3 years of engineering experience
- preferably in the railway industry in System Engineering (with performance-function-operational perspectives), at train or sub-system level

  • In an industrial context, from design to entry into service, through all development phase with multiple and multidisciplinary partners (or an equivalent experience in another industry)
  • Fluent English and French
  • Result focus, able to understand complex system, at ease with system engineering process
  • Team player
  • Travels in France and abroad for shortterm missions
