Description

Our Commodity Markets and Finance team provides risk management, lending and financing, and physical execution and logistics services across the energy, metals and agricultural sectors globally.

The division also offers commodity-based index products to institutional investors.


The Commodity Client Coverage team provides the marketing, structuring and pricing of hedging solutions for the commodities markets as well as support the prospecting of, and ongoing relationship management with, clients.


In this team, your role will be:

  • To manage direct contact with different markets and products within a range of commodities including agriculture, metals, energy, and currencies to name a few.
  • Provide sales coverage in the EMEA region within Macquarie's developed commodity business.
  • Pricing commodity trading strategies as well as executing and booking subsequent trades.
  • Develop a strong market knowledge of commodity markets in order to support and grow the clientbase.
  • Interact with internal colleagues including traders, credit, legal and risk in order to ensure efficient flow of the business.
  • Work and grow as a professional in line with the Macquarie ethos of Opportunity, Accountability and Integrity.
To be successful in this role, you will bring to this role:

  • minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Mathematics, Economics, or related quantitative discipline
  • Understanding and interest of financial markets
  • Interest/experience in commodities is a plus
  • Analytical and creative mindset
  • Resilience, persistence and a cando attitude
  • Proficiency in English is essential, German is desired but not essential.
