About the role:


The role of HR Director, reporting to VP of HR (based in UK) will develop and implement a generalist HR Strategy for France aligned to the global HR strategy.


What you'll do:


  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures aligned to the global HR strategy to support the HR function in France.
  • Act as a strategic partner to the Management Team in France, to support a strong and motivated team driving growth, and support change where required, across the business.
  • Will lead global projects, with the support of the VP of HR, to harmonise HR activities across the Company which support the management of change as required to enable the business to grow and scale internationally
  • Working alongside the VP of HR on a global basis will proactively develop the company's culture aligned to our company values which in turn continue to position us as an employer of choice and ensuring a good social climate.
  • Management of HR team to ensure their continued growth and development to deliver HR activities.
  • Responsible for managing and delivery of core HR functions to provide support to the employee base in France, this will include:
  • Manage and continue to develop all aspects of our compensation and benefits strategy, annual performance review and career management processes in place.
  • Manage the design and delivery of employee training and development programmes that help to support manager and employee growth and development
  • Counsel, advise and provide day to day support to managers related to coaching, career development, performance management, disciplinary and grievance actions
  • With strong practical knowledge of legal principles, ensure that all HR activities are legally compliant and aligned to regulatory obligations relating to working conditions and employee relations. Will act as main point to of contact for the employee social committee
  • Responsible for maintaining HR data and documentation and will provide Management Reports to help support business planning. This will involve implementing a new HR System across the employee base in France

About You:

This role will suit an experienced HR professional with previous experience of working in a small-medium sized (approx. 250+ people) organisation.


Key Requirements:


  • Strong experience of working in an HR Generalist capacity, previously at a Senior level
  • Experience of working in the technology sector and /or at a global level would be desirable
  • Strong understanding of HR policy and practice and employment legislation

Key Skills and Qualifications:


  • Ability to work proactively, flexibly and with influence
  • Ability to manage a generalist HR agenda with compassion, empathy and integrity
  • Has a "can do" and "make things happen" approach, and drives through to completion
  • Able to make decisions, whilst dealing with ambiguity and complexity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, both in French and English
  • Strong MS Office skills, with previous experience of working with HR Software
  • Qualification in Business School would be desirable
