The mission of the New Development & Transformation Business Division is to innovate and develop technologies, products and digital solutions in the new areas in which Axens wishes to grow, in connection with the energy and ecological transition.


Within this Business Division, the Decarbonization & Consulting department's mission is to help clients to develop their projects that to increase their margins and transform towards a low carbon economy.

On that purpose this department

  • Facilitates and accelerates the emergence of projects in new areas.
  • Supports existing activities when the client requires a holistic approach including the integration of different technologies, or thirdparty technologies.
  • Provides studies and consulting services to operators at site level to help them carry out their projects.
The activity of the department is currently experiencing strong growth. This is why we are looking for a Project Manager.


MAIN MISSIONS


Reporting to the head of the Consulting & Studies group of the Decarbonization & Consulting department, as Project Manager you will be responsible for carrying out pre-project studies (Master Plan, pre-feasibility study, feasibility study, conceptual study, bankable study, etc.).


Within the scope of the study, you will supervise a team of project engineers and / or LP (linear programming) engineers, and manage the activities carried out in subcontracting with internal and external partners (EPC, IFPEN, external experts, external consultants ,).

Also you will integrate and synthesize all the elements making up the study.

In this context, your activities will be the following:

  • Conduct studies aiming at reaching study specifications and meet client satisfaction;
  • Manage your team, ensure the quality of the deliverables, respect deadlines and budge (using coordination and project management methodology);
  • Provide and share feedback from projects within the Decarbonization & Consulting Department;
  • Establish and coordinate serene and effective relationships with internal / external partners and subcontractors;
  • Check and validate the technical reports and the presentations prepared by the members of the project team;
  • Participate and lead meetings with the client, present and argue the results;
  • Report regularly on the progress of business to the head of the Consulting & Studies group;
  • Write technical and commercial offers in the proposal phase;
  • Participate in the negotiation of contracts with customers and subcontractors;
  • According to opportunities contribute to marketing actions, including participation in conferences & seminars;
  • Participate in the work of inhouse tools development, and constitute various knowledge bases, including the technological watch;
  • Participate in field assignments, mainly in the context of energy efficiency studies or decarbonization audits.
You are based in Rueil-Malmaison, your mission involves short-term trips abroad.


KNOWLEDGE AND LEVEL REQUIRED

  • With a higher scientific education (Master's degree engineering), you have a good knowledge of process management and confirmed professional experience of at least six/eight years.
  • You have a good knowledge of oil and gas downstream and / or new technologies associated with the energy transition of this sector.
  • Successful experience as a team leader/project manager and/or block manager.
  • Knowledge of the engineering steps of a project in the poststudy phases (FEED and EPC).
  • Basic knowledge concerning utilities, offsites, infrastructures.
  • You must know investment cost structures & project profitability criteria.
