Wakam is a European B2B2C insurer that designs white label general insurance (GI) products for its partners (e-retailers, brokers and fintechs/insurtechs,...).

Our insurance solutions are embedded within the products orservices offered to the end
- customer.

Wakam operate in 32 countries across Europe with most of the revenues generated outside of France. Most of our products are delivered through API and hosts white label insurance solutions via our Play&Plug platform.

Since March 2021, we are a Mission-driven company. We defined 9 concrete commitments to illustrate thismission, such as writing our insurance contracts in plain language. We also create insurance products at cost for associations.

As part of a maternity cover, we are looking for a new Legal Product Manager to join our team. This will be a 6-month temporary contract (CDD) from November 2023 to June 2024.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

Insurance must support the transformation of the economy to enable it to grow and survive.
We want to put the best of technology at the service of people, to support these new needs.

Wakam is a full digital B2B2C insurer that designs an innovative range of products and services and markets them through traditional (brokers, etc.) and non-traditional distributors (e-retailers, startups, car manufacturers, service platforms, etc.).

Wakam is present in all sectors of property and casualty insurance in France and Europe.

Our job is to design ready-to-use insurance solutions, to insure everyone in the right place at the right time.

The missions
Reporting to the _Product _Squad, you will play an active role in creating the product outline and contractual product documentation, particularly for our partners abroad:

Creation of an insurance product tailored to the needs of our partners and customers.
Proposals on the terms and conditions of cover (cover, ceiling, excess, exclusions) in conjunction with the Pricing team.
Formalization of partner product sheets (aligned with DDA).
Formalization and validation of Product documentation (T&Cs / Policy Schedule / IPID)
Participating in the company's project to simplify product documents while complying with regulatory constraints.
Processing changes to products in production.

You will work in coordination with the Sales, Legal, Reinsurance & Compliance Departments.

Profile required

The characteristics of our Product Manager Legal:

4 to 5 years' higher education, university degree in insurance law or business school
First experience in the insurance industry
A large proportion of our clients are located outside France. Working knowledge of English is essential.
Good communication and prioritization skills.
