The
Technology and Industrial Performance (TIP) Department as a central team in charge of Industrial Performance roadmap, standards and benchmarking, R&D programs for Construction, Strategic Investments, Capacity Allocation among countries and Excellence Programs, is looking for a
Glass Wool Business Program manager to work on
optimization of Glass Wool density.

Optimization of Glass wool product density will have a positive impact on raw material and energy consumptions. You will fully contribute to
Saint-Gobain Group net-zero carbon commitment.

Under the guidance of the Business Development Program Director-Insulation Business, you will lead the support of local teams' projects located in different countries.

The job involves
collaborating with multiple international stakeholders, including plants, marketing and R&D centers on highly technical topics such as physics of wool forming, binder curing, glass composition, data analysis.

Success in this role will rely on your ability to exercise strong networking and cross-functional influencing competencies.


Your key responsibilities will include:

1- Guide countries in term of:

  • Setting appropriate deployment strategy (choose of product mix to be optimized ),
- methodology,

  • Setting trials targets and analyze results,
  • Selecting technical standard to be implemented (sensors, technologies, quality controls.), sharing best practices,
  • Savings calculation and followup,
  • Promoting work with country Marketing, and if needed central Marketing to collect customer insight,
2- Provides dedicate training when needed

3- Contributes to project reporting with benchmark and KPI's follow up.

4- Contributes to prepare project executive reviews

5- Set target to R&D based on market and plant's needs, to raise our technical knowledge. New tools developed will help pushing forwards limits of density reduction.


  • Collaborate with 4.0 team to develop optimization tools.

Location:

the position will be preferably based in France (CRIR R&D center, Rantigny - Oise Travel to plants is expected (up to 25% of working time, France and abroad).


Ce poste est-il fait pour vous ?
To be successful in this position, you will ideally have:

Academic:
Engineering schools. Master of Science.


Experience / technical competencies:


  • Thermal / Mechanical Material Sciences / Fluid dynamics
  • Previous experience with operational teams in production management or industrial development.
  • Skills in data processing. Programming in Python ability would be a plus.

Aptitude / soft skills:


  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, for teamwork in an international and multicultural context,
  • Autonomy,
  • Resultsdriven with the capacity for proposals and cost/time optimization solutions,
  • Fluency in English.
