Physical Implementation Engineer - place and route
- Back End, based in Meylan (38).

As a
Physical Implementation Engineer, you will join a design team working on the development of IPs and ASICs.

Reporting to the Team Leader and working in a multidisciplinary team: from architecture to GDSII delivery, you will be responsible for the physical implementation of complex SoCs, from 300mm2 to 10mm2, using state-of-the-art ST28nm, GF22nm, TSMC12nm technologies.

In interaction with the Front-end (design) and analog teams, you will be in charge of all or part of the different steps of a physical implementation: floorplan, clock tree synthesis, placement-routing and post-layout checks (STA, power analysis, IRDrop, proof of equivalence, DRC, LVS...)

For 25% of your time, you will participate in the continuous improvement of the design flow, you will implement our testchips: prototyping to validate our own IPs (in 22nm or 12nm).
You will be responsible for 75% of the ASIC projects for our customers. You will work in collaboration with your peers (at least 2 people per project), in order to meet the quality requirements for the production launch.
You will be proactive in resolving any convergence issues that may arise. You will have to address it and seek a solution from the experts concerned (e.g. from the EDA).
Proactive, you will also be able to contribute to the improvement of methods and the design flow.

You have an engineering background, ideally in microelectronics, and you have at least 5 years of experience in a similar position, in Placement-Routing and/or in post-layout validation.

You have implemented a circuit and/or a digital IP, and know the steps : STA, DRC, LVS.

You are familiar with a P&R tool: Innovus (Cadence), ICC2/Fusion (Synopsys) or Aprisa (Siemens). We use all three but you will mainly work on Innovus.

You have good knowledge and have already used a signoff DRC and STA verification tool.

You have an interest in programming (in any language), which will enable you to create scripts, in order to automate and streamline your work.
