Job Description Summary:

Responsible of the operational performance of CIC for the execution phase (OTR) for products, projects and services orders including good quality and customer satisfaction in full compliance with EHS and GE Values.


Lead the overall operations of the different departments Order Fulfillment, Projects Management, Engineering and Field Services which provide the required resources for the proper execution of the customer orders.


Lead the operational execution of his portfolio within his geographical perimeter: Europe and SSA region, and participate to the operational governance (quarterly, monthly) ensuring business priorities are met (Sales, Margin, Invoicing, Cash, Inventories, BC,).

Provide the yearly Operating Plan (Budget, SII).

Pilot the Project Management and ensure proper appliance of GA methods & tools.

Lead, coach and develop operational teams in his sub-region.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead and monitor order execution (products, projects, services) across the subregion, driving profitable growth, margin expansion and cost optimization, ensuring commitment to customer satisfaction, risks mitigation & opportunities development
  • As part of the Europe & SSA Operation organization, assist in structuring the operations in line with GA delivery model and footprint
  • Ensure Budget and KPI targets are met within its perimeter
  • Organize the involvement of Operations in the validation of the offers (as per Tendering instruction) and provide regular return of experience after execution whenever needed
  • Lead the root cause analysis (RCA) and 8D analysis of the concerned projects and drive the recovery and/or improvement action plan.
  • Prepare the yearly budget and the quarterly forecast in interface with the regional operations leader and the CIC Global Operation Leader
  • Develop and lead the execution of the growth strategy plan of Grid Automation
  • CIC Product Line within its perimeter.
  • Support the operational governance across activities (GPREV, Cashcall, Pacingcall, Regional Review)
  • Manage skills and development plan of his team.
  • Ensure proper development of the global expertise required by the business (Digital S/S, Cybersecurity, HVDC, Power Gen, Renewables, Protections, Grid studies etc)
  • Hold teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work, leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity, and mentoring and developing team members.
  • Support the deployment of worldclass processes and practices, methods and harmonized tools for project management and engineering provided by the Global Operations.
  • Lead the change management required to enhance efficiency of engineering department aligning with business strategy.

Develop the Services portfolio in interface with the commercial department (ITO) and the Services central team

  • Support the growth of his department in his subregion aligning with GA strategy.
  • Provide operational support and coaching for complex & strategic projects in other unit(s)/subregion(s) of Grid Automation.
  • Participates in discussions about the future of the business requiring frequent and thorough interaction with other functions.
  • Be responsible for building strong longterm relationships with customers within the subregion. Develop a network of customer contacts.
  • Promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with applicable EHS policies and procedures, Quality and Integrity.
  • Lead and cultivate a culture of GE Values and integrity.
  • Lead efforts to ensure execution excellence for any customer order.

The Europe & SSA CIC Operations Leader report to the Regional General Manager of Europe & SSA region


Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or same knowledge/experience.
  • Proven experience above 10 years in leading projects and multicultural teams.
  • Proven ability leading remote team members creating a single, coordinated and higheffective team.
  • Proven capacity to work in international matrix organization. Ability to easily interact with external individuals to the department, at various levels of the company including executive leaders (EB, SEB).
  • Strong business acumen with successful management experience and discipline in managing the day to day business, Autonomous and strong resilience.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills that build a connection to the workforce through personal involvement, inclusivity, and trust.
  • Proven ability to influence and drive change through exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated tendency to speak up.
  • Ability to drive constant improvement in process, and ability to achieve organizational goals.
  • Understanding of Grid Automation market, its customer and drivers that influence customer behavior.
  • Expertise required in: project management, sales management, P&L management, customer relationships, team managemen
