Our client is a technology company involved in component-based secure solutions for security and identification.He operates in a multicultural and international environment with a presence in Europe, Asia and the United States.
The Group General Counsel is looking for a Data Protection Officer (DPO) to meet the obligations under the Corporate Privacy Policy (Policies) and more generally the applicable Data Protection Regulations.
Vos responsabilités:
His/Her Main Duties Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Group General Counsel/Chief Compliance Officer, the DPO will:
- monitor compliance and data practices internally to ensure the business and its functions comply with the Policies and Regulations,
- Be responsible for managing and coordinating the Corporate Data Protection Correspondents (DPC) network,
- Be responsible for data protection impact assessments and internal audits,
- Be responsible of employees' awareness, training and communication about Policies and Regulations,
- Monitor the amendments of the Regulations and adapt the Policies,
- Define and monitor the standard clauses and corresponding documentation applicable to the business relationships,
- Serve as the primary contact for supervisory authorities and individuals whose data is processed by the organisation
His/Her Interactions
In this role, the DPO will work closely with the Legal & Compliance Department, Information System Department, HR Department, Sales & Marketing Department and Purchasing Department to develop, and the monitor the implementation of the Regulations policies and standards applicable to the business and in compliance with the GDPR.
Votre profil:
Education
- Law degree from an accredited law school required.
- Ideally at least one Data Protection and/or Privacy certification such as, CIPP, CIPT, ISEB, etc.,.
Expected Skills And Expérience
- More than 3 years of experience in data privacy required at Group or local level
- Strong knowledge of EU data privacy and data protection regulation, and a good understanding of other major privacy frameworks and evolving legislation worldwide,
- Sufficient knowledge of information technology and data management systems required,
- Ability to manage and coordinate a DPC network,
- Welldeveloped and professional interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with people at all organisational levels of the firm
- Additional Requirements
- Ability to efficiently communicate (in written and verbal) in English, and a second language (German, French or Chinese) appreciated
- Able to adapt to changing environments and know how to deal with stress.
- Some international travel will be required.
