Job Description:


About the role:


We are looking for a
Network & Technical Security Engineer with 3-5 years of previous hands-on experience to join our Global Network team.


Your main mission is to
provide stable, secure and high performance operations on PartnerRe network (LAN, WAN and Wifi) and Security platform (Firewalls, endpoint protection )
while evolving it to align with Azure in a hybrid or multi public cloud environment.


In more detail, you will:

  • Design and implement new networking and security solutions, based on the company requirements defined by security or regulators
  • Maintain, monitor and troubleshoot
  • Ensure availability, performance and security
  • Setup and use operational dashboards to monitor network and get alerts for issues
  • Troubleshoot incidents, build and execute action plans to solve problems
  • Improve existing solutions, propose and implement enhancements for the short term and long term.
  • Manage projects for major upgrades, setup of international offices, implementation of new solutions.
  • Manage relationships with external providers
  • Build, maintain and leverage a business network, to facilitate information exchange, coordination across IT teams.

Qualifications:


About you:

We are looking for a highly motivated individual, with strong organization, collaboration and communication skills.

You must be comfortable collaborating with internal and external partners and feel at ease with technology and transformation topics, often working on multipe topics in tandem.


  • Able to work on multiple activities and tools in a collaborative and multicultural environment, covering multiple time zones.
  • Expertise in Cisco LAN, Checkpoint Firewall, Azure IaaS networking
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to explain solutions to a non technical audience. Knowledge in French is a plus.
  • Manage expectations and provide support for incidents which require network involvement, covering onpremise and cloud solutions / technologies.
  • Assess requests to ensure proper design and implementation to align with current standards and security.
  • Utilize experiences to identify solutions that will focus on increasing redundancy where needed, performance and efficiencies.
  • Troubleshoot and triage high complex issues that can require excessive testing involving others to determine the root cause and implemenet a permanent fix/solution.
  • Ability to manage small projects independently and larger projects as part of a team that may practice and utilize the Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Fluent in the overall concept and operations following core ITSM principles (Change, Incident and Problem Management).
