Job Description Summary:

The Manager of Finance of the Villeurbanne, FR site heads the financial department including Industrial Management Control of GSC Finance (Global Supply Chain), as well as management control of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) for all site activities; i.e., factory, R&D center and related hosted activities.

This person is a strong partner responsible for the site activities and reports to the Southern Europe Power Transmission CFO.


Management control (FP&A):


Work with functional teams to prepare operational reviews, identify risks and opportunities, analyze sales and contract margins, estimate structural costs, and generate operational cash.


  • Prepare quarterly forecasts and annual budget with all functions
  • Identify the elements generating variances from the forecast and define action plans to limit their impact on the final financial landing
  • Prepare consolidated monthly results, and related analyses, as well as, manage teams to achieve the objectives defined for closure,
  • Challenge action plans to improve the financial performance of each function and ensure the proper alignment of these actions with the expected financial results
  • Attending operational reviews to support the FP&A core team and explain key elements
  • Provide historical data and project estimates concerning the financial impacts on the various financial cycles
  • Ensure adequate financial and administrative monitoring for R&D projects with external grants (among other projects funded by the EU)
  • SAP keyuser for FI-CO modules

Industrial Management Control (Supply Chain):


  • Ensure that the project team has a good understanding of costs, planning and deliverables for the Production Chain function,
  • Responsible for monitoring costs, the correct allocation of costs per project/product and then by project estimates
  • Challenge production schedules and ensures good alignment with the Supply Chain function.
  • Analyze margin differences between the notebook and the P&L to identify corrective actions

Qualifications/Requirements:


  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • 8 years' experience, including FP&A and Global Supply Chain leadership /
  • Bilingual ( French and English language proficiency )
