The Training Lead identifies learning needs, their priority, and appropriate strategies for meeting those needs.

The Training Leader analyzes, designs, develops, implements, and evaluates learning programmes that facilitate professional development and continuous learning of employees, in consistency with Group strategy and business needs.

Based in Paris and in strategic partnership with the business and the wider SCOR University and HR community, the SCOR University Training Lead will primarily be responsible for:

  • leading Learning & Development activities for Paris and satellite locations (approx. 1000 employees, 4 locations), including various business lines.
- leading or co-leading different global Learning & Development projects, including initiatives linked to SCOR's Transformation & Simplification journey.
- managing two learning & development apprentices

In the frame of SCOR University in Paris, the Training Leader will:

  • Work closely with local HRBPs and management to conduct needs assessments to identify learning gaps or development opportunities and suggest strategies to close these gaps.
  • Facilitate design, development, and evaluation of internal and external learning programs that target professional development and continuous learning of employees.
  • Monitor and advise the business on learning and development effectiveness in partnership with Human Resource Business Partners
  • Contribute actively to the D&I plan of SCOR in the EMEA region, notably by establishing consistent and proactive programmes within the "Educate" pilar.
  • Cofacilitate the DiSCORvery meeting.
  • Manage a network of internal trainers and external vendors.
  • Oversee the outsourcing of program development and delivery to external vendors including selection, negotiation of contract, pricing, and overall vendor performance.
  • Develop and manage partnerships with educational institutions and industry groups; represent SCOR at industry events.
  • Ensure the marketing of the training activity.
  • Monitor the regional training budget.
  • Ensure training data reporting and registration in the LMS.
  • Manage local French regulations related to L&D and provide training data where required (CPF, Commission de Formation, Relations Sociales). Manage two learning & development apprentices.
Under the context of the wider SCOR University, the Training Leader will:

  • Actively participate in the global SCOR University Community and work closely with all SCOR University Training Leads.
  • In partnership with SCOR University Training Leads, lead or colead different global Learning & Development projects, including initiatives linked to SCOR's Tranformation & Simplification journey.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor project frameworks and plans.
  • Partner with various stakeholders (SCOR University, HR Community, Business, external parties if applicable)
  • Monitor the budget for the projects.
  • May also be required to partner with the Global HR Business Partner for a specific business line.

  • Work closely with the SCOR University Elearning Designer for the development of elearning modules
  • Conduct monthly global Induction sessions for new joiners.
  • Contribute to global SCOR University Newsletter
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in a L&D role preferably in an international company with a matrix management structure.
  • Knowledge of French Training legislations and regulations
  • Experience in planning, designing, delivering, evaluating, and administrating training programs & projects.
  • Knowledge of Articulate 360 and Oracle Learn is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience managing and developing direct reports.
  • Excellent English level.
