LIGENTEC is a young and dynamic company headquartered in Switzerland, with an office in the Ile-de-France area.

We are manufacturing Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) for customers in high-tech areas such as Quantum Technologies, LiDAR, Space Technologies and Biosensors.

LIGENTEC All-Nitride technology enables our customers to develop their products in the industrial revolution 4.0.


To support our continued growth, we are looking for a:
Design Engineer
Integrated Photonics (ID 2317-DE)

Tasks

  • Design, simulation and layout of integrated photonic components and circuits for Design Technologies internal projects.
  • PDK building block development, incl. design, simulation, layout, test planning and data analysis.
  • Interact with the 200mm characterization team, collect capabilities, design test structures, and support in test planning and data analysis (design for testability).
  • Interact with the 200mm process team and yield engineering, collect capabilities and requirements, design test structures, support in test planning and data analysis (design for manufacturability, testability and packaging).
  • Documentation and reporting.

Requirements:


  • MSc or PhD in photonics or related fields.
  • Minimum of 3 years handson experience in integrated optics design, simulation and layout in a top, preferably industrial environment.
  • Solid understanding and practical experience with different photonic material platforms,
heterogeneous integration, design and simulation

  • Handson experience with photonics layout software (IPKISS, OptoDesigner).
  • Experience with compact model creation is a plus.
  • Excellent technical problemsolving skills
  • Ability to work independently and with remote teams.
  • Working proficiency in English.
