    Description du sujet:
  • Establish manufacturing protocols for the biobased building materials studied in this thesis (hemp lime concrete, miscanthus concrete, etc.).
  • Establish a protocol for the acquisition of tomographic images or/and SEM of studied biobased building materials.
  • Take control of the digital and numerical tools allowing the reading of images taken by tomography and also the physical characterization (composition, phases, porosity, poresize distribution, tortuosity and orientation of fibers in the concrete) of the studied materials.
  • Measure the effective properties in 3D of the studied biobased materials: mechanical properties, thermal properties (thermal conductivity, specific heat), hygric properties (water vapor permeability, sorption isotherms, moisture buffer valueMBV).
  • Study the influence of microstructural properties on the effective properties and establish empirical formulas to optimize the performance of biobased materials in building construction.
