You will excel and enjoy this position if you are ready to actively handle the following missions:_**As a member of the Innovation and Development team, you will be in charge of the development and the qualification of a portfolio of several projects varying from simple to complex.


This will involve identifying and developing technical solutions for primary and secondary packaging, from the very first step of the design to industrialization at contract manufacturers sites.

In this key role you will leverage your technical expertise, communication and project management skills.


Strong collaboration will be key to partner with the cross functional team, from internal (Marketing, Formula development, Purchasing, Planning, Finance, Regulatory, Supply chain) to external (Suppliers, Contract manufacturers, Design agencies).


The delivered projects must-have success measures include launch delivery on-time, at the expected quality level, right capacity and right cost.

In addition, you will actively help to build strong organizational capabilities to improve overall team efficiency.


You will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with Marketing and Formula development on new briefs to answer needs that are technically and financially viable and advising creative team on best way to achieve requested designs.
  • Working closely with Procurement to answer to the Marketing briefs while respecting cost and gross margin targets.
  • Conducting risk assessment studies and providing project feasibility: function, manufacturability, component and tooling cost, timetable, risks, and global consistency.
  • Following up on new tooling development, validating technical drawings and providing printing area.
  • Establishing homologation plans and conducting all necessary testing to validate success criteria.
  • Conducting all aesthetic development (color matching, decoration).
  • Reviewing/Approving Artwork files.
  • Managing industrialization phase and attending line trials at contract manufacturers sites, to ensure components and finished goods are of the correct quality expectations for production.
  • Working closely with Quality to provide component and finished good specifications. Approving quality standards and range boards for Components and Finished Goods.
  • Validating tertiary packaging for finished goods and palletization plans.
  • Overall, following up on the timelines and reporting regularly on status of development issues to the immediate supervisor and to the project managers. Identifying mitigations plans and ensuring their deployment.
  • Working on optimization of existing components in order to improve quality, reduce cost and improve sustainability.
  • Supporting sustainability programs specifically applied to packaging.

  • Experience working in technical packaging roles, ideally in the Beauty industry, minimum 3 years.
  • Academic qualifications: Scientific Bachelors (packaging, chemistry, mechanical engineering, or other relevant discipline).
  • Capability of operating in a fastmoving projects pipeline.
  • Willingness to work in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Problemsolving skills. Ability to identify smart solutions with the right level of pragmatism.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills for verbal and written communication of ideas, technical rationales, risks, issues, and recommendations.
  • Able to travel when required.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
