Context:

Nissan has an international working environment with people from across the globe. Ahead of the 2018/19 season, Nissan became the first Japanese manufacturer to enter the serie of Formula E.

You will be attached to Nissan Formula E Team, a subsidiary of Nissan. Formula E is a single-seater motorsport championship for electric cars. Nissan Formula E Team is a race team that competes in the all-electric ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.

The position is based in France, in Viry-Chatillon.


Responsibilities:


Produce build specifications, set up sheets, and all other necessary documentation for all events in effective timing to allow the work to be carried out efficiently.

To issue technical work lists after each session of track time (ie. set up changes, specification changes, tyre choice, etc).
To liaise with your drivers on a regular basis on all matters technical relating to the car and team.

To keep accurate and adequate notes, and issue an event report, from all races and filed in such a manner as to make them easily accessible for future reference.

To keep a summarized mileage record of all running and have available for the Chief Mechanics to use for filing records, etc.

To liaise with the tyre engineers regarding the tyre usage and strategy.
To liaise with the ENM engineer and the strategy engineer to define the best possible race management and strategy
To analyze race data in a scientific and objective manner.
To plan, carry out, and report on specific tests, ie. aerodynamic, R&D rig tests or other Race Team development tests, as requested by the Chief Engineer or the Head of Performance


Profile:


Strong experience in a similar role in a top level championship such as LMH, Indy Car, Formula E, Formula 1, Formula 2, etc.

Autonomy, dynamism, and rigor.
Fluent in English.

The position is based in France, in Viry-Chatillon.

This role includes work on weekends and outside of office hours, due to the nature of the business.

This role will also include regular travels around the world during the very intense Formula E season.
