How You'll Make an Impact

Execute package R&D projects
Evaluate technologies relevant to packaging including lube oil system components and seal gas supply system components
Evaluate concepts/ solutions for baseplate costout, integrated design with other subsystems
Evaluate shaft sealing technologies to reduce seal gas demand, and to eliminate gas seal emissions
Develop standard package designs to reduce engineering efforts on order execution and simplify supply chain
Maintain awareness of technology development trends in the marketplace including efforts by competitors and other research institutions
Pursue innovative concepts and technologies that can disrupt the turbomachinery packaging business, with a focus on solutions that reduce the cost but meet the customers' performance expectations

What You Bring

Must be fluent in English language, oral and written
Proven "cando" attitude, and willingness to independently conduct investigations, read relevant industry specifications, and to develop knowledge in areas related to the job function (selflearner).
Strong written and oral communication skills supported by interpersonal skills that support working with crossfunctional teams as a member of a global, multicultural organization across different SE locations
Experience with mechanical systems and mechanical design
Experience with typical package components including pumps, valves, filtration, instrumentation, controls, baseplate, etc.
Familiar with process flow diagrams, basic process equipment function and P&IDs used in the oil and gas industry.
Ability to manage time effectively to achieve delivery of work against agreed schedules
Experience with Siemens NX for 3D modeling and design is a plus
Experience with ANSYS solid mechanics is a plus
Experience with equipment layout (3D modeling) and aspects related to the packaging of turbomachinery/compression trains is a plus.
