We are looking for a
Contract Engineer for one of our clients with the following details:


Starting date:
October 2023


Duration: 12 months

Renewable:
Yes, upon FID sanction and Construction phase


Location:

France, Paris Area with regular Business trips to South Africa/Mozambique then potential transfer to South Africa/Mozambique


Status:
Residential


Qualification and Experience Required:

  • Experienced contract engineer with extensive experience in OE/EPSCC contracts, purchase orders, equipment package contracts and process license agreements. (5/15 years)
  • Professional Experience: Previous experience of the COMPANY corresponding forms of contracts would be an advantage.
  • Languages: Fluency in English (speaking and writing). French could be a plus
  • Qualification: Engineer or Equivalent

Duties:


  • Assist Preparation, analysis and processing of Call for Tenders and Contracts by priority
  • To assist/guide on the OWNER ENGINEER (OE) contract implementation in relation with the future Offshore and Onshore EPC contract.
  • To administrate such OE contract
  • To assist/administrate others project contracts, such as Geotechnical survey, Dredging campaign, EPC phase onshore/offshore part
Activities

  • To adopt exemplary behaviour with regard to HSSE, to implement and control HSSE rules and requirements within his area of responsibility
  • To demonstrate an exemplary behaviour with regard to the Company Ethics and "Code of Conduct" policy.
  • To prepare relevant exhibit of the OE contract
  • To coordinate the tendering / contracting process (including, as necessary, prequalification process) for required new contracts:
  • Coordinate CFTs issuance including the preparation/development of contracts, Contractual / Technical documentation in collaboration with BGC sponsors and all necessary Project people
  • Lead clarification and negotiation process, provide assistance, as necessary, to Project Director
  • Participate to the evaluation process, reviewing and validating ranking tables, giving guidelines on method;
  • Lead the development of the RTAs; Coordinate the approval process.
  • Coordinate the final development of Contract documentation;
  • To implement and verify implementation of procedures associated to Contract activities
  • To define / implement an adequate reporting process for Contract Management activities, and to ensure consolidation of reporting for Weekly / Monthly Reports
  • Analyse/Treat contractual correspondence vs contractor.
  • To administrate signed contract (Bank guarantees and certificates as per the contract.)
  • To participate in monthly/weekly meetings and variation order (VO) meetings with the contractor, and to prepare the corresponding minutes of the meetings.
  • Variation Orders
  • To analyse the variation order requests (VORs) and prepare a recommendation.
  • To prepare and issue the VO for formal signature.
