Mission

Candriam's ESG research & investment team has a mandate going beyond the analysis of issuers' environmental, social and governance (ESG) opportunities and risk.

Indeed, as a responsible investor and founding signatory of the UNPRI, our role is also to encourage issuers to adopt best practices in the ESG field and to work with them on emerging thematic or broader sustainability issues.

In that respect, Candriam's active voting policy, as well as its direct & collaborative engagement efforts plays a fundamental role in our approach.

Our ESG team is looking for a young and bright ESG professional to support our engagement activities with issuers.

Responsabilities

The selected intern will be associated with an on-going engagement targeting European small and mid-cap companies on their management of human capital.

The work will include communicating with both fundamental equity and ESG research analysts, analysing companies ESG data with a focus on Human Capital, participating to the dialogues with the companies and stakeholders (NGOs, unions, academics) and eventually writing report(s) on their outcomes.

The mission will include regular exchanges our Small and Mid-Cap fund managers to update them on the progress of the project.

This internship is an opportunity to gain substantial knowledge and experience in the field of ESG engagement, ESG research, integration of ESG analysis within portfolio construction and responsible investments with a leading asset manager in these fields.
Profile Bachelor in Finance or Sustainability. Previous experience at an Asset Managers or in the ESG field is a plus.
