The team you'll be part of
Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services.

With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).


In the context of X-Haul Architecture & Specification team on Microwave & CSN Business Unit, we are offering the opportunity for an international internship of 6 months in our laboratory, 3 months in Nozay and 3 months in Vimercate (close to Milan Italy), exploiting an experience in an international, multicultural and innovative R&D environment.


What you will learn and contribute to
The objective of the internship is to learn, develop and research on ADPD algorithm.


Adaptative Digital Pre-Distortion (ADPD)


In a high-power transmission system, it becomes important to maximize output power still keeping a high level of signal quality.

Among the others, ADPD is one of the techniques used to achieve this goal in Point2Point Digital microwave radio links.


Internship Objectives

  • DSP techniques familiarization
  • Power Amplifier linearization modeling (Volterra Kernel)
  • IQ Modulator correction
  • Equalization channels
  • Power Amplifier Distortion modelling
  • Test on bench the performances of the identified ADPD algorithm

Your skills and experience

You have:

  • Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink computational tools
  • Knowledge of C coding
  • Good spoken and written English
  • Willingness to play with laboratory instrumentation and HW accelerator platforms
