    Default job background
    CDI
    Description

    Overall job definition

The focus is on the cell design and the product specification.

    Main missions and objectives

-The cell performance team drives the battery design process on cell level. The design of lithium-ion-batteries allows for many parameters to be set. Each parameter shall be chosen to fulfil the customer requirements to the final product in the best and most cost-efficient way. The design process starts by analysing the overall product requirements and braking them down to the different cell components. Each design parameter needs then to be verified by testing and simulation, which requires careful planning and execution. The production and the validation of final product must then be accompanied and supported. After completion of the design process, data and results must be aggregated and presented. Final product requirements and specification must be written based in the design process results.

-The main work consists in analysing requirements, working out design proposals and validating the design options. The work includes planning and execution of experiments, analysing and interpreting results and supporting problem resolution on existing designs. The main outputs of the work are design proposals, validation reports and product specifications. Important secondary outputs are design guidelines and methods, manufacturing process guidelines and problem resolution reports.
