Application Technologist F/M/D - 12-month contract - Your Future Role?

We are looking for an Application Technologist based in Avignon, for a 12-month contract.

The Application Technologist in Science & Technology performs lab procedures and documents the results to ensure the research is documented and carried out according to our goals.

Main activities:

Take on internal projects, under the supervision of your manager. You can work on formulation projects and stability studies that involve the analysis of the food.
Produce samples, perform all technical tasting and food analysis, and record the results appropriately and communicate.
Lead the general maintenance of the lab, making sure it meets general standards of hygiene and safety, and manage the need of technical supplies.

Main responsibilities:

Ensure your own work area is hygienic and fit to develop food products. In charge to produce and send samples.
Follow Health & Safety instructions when working in the laboratories, pilot plant, and the company in general, be active in internal safety audit and proposal of improvement.

Your Professional Profile includes:

Apprenticeship/Polytechnic/Associate degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related area with 2+ years relevant experience in the food, beverage, ingredient, or flavor industries.
Technical skills in area of specialty, knowledge of food methods analysis and food formulations.
Capabilities in food sensory may be a plus.
Ability to draw and document conclusions from research experiments.
Autonomous and proactive.
Ability to taste and work with strong smells and tastes.
