- Understanding the operation of an inverter and three-phase BLDC motor
- Converter/Motor Simulation and Control (Trapezoid and FOC) on Matlab
- Control Simulation on MATLAB
- Testing and validation of the two control methods on a model in the laboratory.
- Consider the pros and cons of each of the two control methods and HW impacts.
- Evaluate the cost/performance/ease of implementation/efficiency.
- Consider the security recommendations for ASIL D compliance.
- Master's Degree in Electronics
- Power & Analog Electronics
- Ltspice and MATLAB Simulation
- Mastery of test tools (oscilloscope, measurement probe, etc.)
- Good knowledge of Excel
- Ability to work in a team
- Ability to work independently while provided proper direction.
- Knowledge of electrical machinery
- Understanding of Altium is a plus.
- English required.

Internship Summary
Hitachi Astemo focuses on advanced and cutting-edge mobility solutions in the field of electrification. We are known to be one of the world's leading manufacturers and sales of complex vehicle components and systems.
The candidate will be part of a hardware design team that is responsible for the design and integration of power electronic converters into automotive modules.
As part of the development of a new automotive module with a technological evolution compared to the existing one, a comparative study (theoretical and practical by doing bench tests) between two control methods of a three-phase BLDC motor is planned.
Trapezoidal control Flow-Oriented Control (FOC)
This study will allow us to choose which of these two methods best suits our system (performance, cost and feasibility).
In this context, we are looking for an intern for a period of 6 months Bac+5 from an engineering school or equivalent (Master's).
