This is a 5 months fixed term contract.


You shall:


  • Comply with IMS and all relevant international rules and regulations;
  • Ensure all your duties in accordance with quality, health, safety, environmental and ethics policies;
  • Propose a continuous performance improvement plan which will be reported and reviewed on a periodical basis;
  • Assist in QHSSE responsibilities for his assigned vessels;
  • Perform on duty tasks when assigned;
  • Ensure:
  • The implementation of the Integrated Management System and the Ship Security Plan;
  • Good communication between ashore departments and the vessels;
  • His assigned vessels are properly manned, maintained, equipped and in a seaworthy condition.
  • Responsible for:
  • Management and followup of ISM, ISPS, MLC, ISO, and flag audits;
  • QSSE audit or inquiry onboard assigned and designated vessel
  • Monitoring of corrective and preventive actions;
  • Accident investigation.
  • Perform trainings of shore department and ship staff;
  • Participate in the regulations monitoring;
  • Be the contact point of the flag administrations and support Fleet department with the classification societies (RO);
  • Participate in the Emergency Response Team when concerned;
  • Be available to travel worldwide.
  • Officer licenses preferred;
  • Training in:
  • ISM and ISO Internal auditor;
  • CSO;
  • Accident investigation.
  • Fluent in English;
  • QHSSE management knowledge. Experience
Previous officer experience or in shipping industry. Personal attributes

  • Effective verbal, written and presentation skills;
  • Ability to work both independently and in a teambased environment;
  • Team spirit;
  • Physical ability to perform audit onboard;
  • No restriction to travel abroad.
