Job purpose:Reporting line is General Manager France with a dotted line to Central Europe Communications & Digital Media Lead. As France Communication Lead & General Manager Support you support Central Europe Communication department in driving France internal and external communications activities in line with the cluster communications' objectives and strategic priorities, to foster a positive reputation of Zoetis among key stakeholders and colleagues.


As a successful Lead, you gain hands-on experience in many aspects of corporate communications and executive assistance in both a local and international fast-moving environment, by helping with a wide range of forward-looking projects, by taking over meaningful responsibilities.


Main tasks:


Communication - 70%


Work directly with the Central Europe Cluster Corporate Communications & Digital Marketing Lead, France General Manager and closely with the extended Leadership Team.

Act as communication consultant to the French Extended Leadership Team and other internal client groups to align all colleagues across France under One Zoetis:


  • Assist in the attainment of business objectives and conduct communications activities with internal stakeholders to maximize colleague engagement and knowledge of Zoetis and our industry.
  • On the external communications front, act as a critical partner to colleagues in Zoetis' Business Units and General Manager to create proactive media and external communication opportunities for our business/products and enhance and protect reputation
  • Oversee budget for Communications
  • Maintenance of communications calendar for France
  • Support organization and execution of events, social gatherings, and team offsites managed by the Communications Lead and France General Manager

Enterprise Communications - 35%

  • Develop and implement internal communications programs to inform colleagues of company values, business imperatives, news, policies, goals and initiatives to ensure alignment.
  • Coordinate internal and external communications in times of crisis.
  • Optimize and maintain current internal communications vehicles and platforms and evaluate the impact of programs.
  • Coordinate content development, planning and execution of communication events and programs to share news and initiatives.
  • Main/write/edit the content for communications vehicles and sites as required

Engagement and Culture - 15%

  • Drive corporate culture by creating events and occasions to foster regular, open and transparent customerfocused communications with maximized colleague involvement.
  • Act as a communications consultant on project teams to implement corporate initiatives in alignment with senior management strategic plan.
  • Actively participate in project team meetings to provide guidance on project implementation particularly related to communications.
  • Actively drive the DE&I narrative with the development of a Canadian DE&I Committee.
  • Provide timely updates to senior management to keep them informed and aligned, as required, on communication plans.
  • Develop internal communication to ensure colleague understanding of key messages and project objectives.

Colleague Engagement in Community Programs - 5%

  • Support development and execution of community programs communications, building colleague engagement to enhance corporate reputation.
  • Develop and implement communications materials, as required, to maximize company messages and meet business objectives.
  • Provide timely updates to senior management to keep them informed and aligned, as required, on communication plans.

External Communications and Media Relations - 15%

  • Plan and execute robust media strategies and external communications plans for all business units and their products, as well as other corporate programs.
  • Work with the business units and/or functions to develop specific plans to address key opportunities and issues/crisis effectively.
  • Respond to requests from all types of media; work in consultation with team members on more complex inquiries or story opportunities.
  • Write, edit and prepare external materials, including press releases, social media posts, bios and fact sheets.
  • Provide guidance to others so they can deliver other communication priorities, like disease awareness campaigns.
  • Secure coverage and develop thought leadership content for Zoetis/industry perspectives on important and complex.
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings such as pressconferences or speaking engagements

Operational Support - 30%

  • Manage, prioritize, and coordinate the calendar of France General Manager and extended Leadership Team to ensure efficient scheduling and provide general administrative support
  • Coordinate agenda, minutes, and organization of meetings, and follow up on action items
