Duties:


Basic Function of Position:
The Administrative and Program Support Rover position provides administrative, data analysis/report, program/project coordination, or management support to post. In addition to administrative and program support, this position provides cleared escort responsibilities. This position addresses short-term assignments as needed by post including staffing gaps, ad-hoc projects, and/or short-term workload increases.

To provide maximum flexibility, this position may be implemented either as regular (full-time or part-time) or intermittent/irregular (a when actually employed) basis.

Post DHRO supervises the Rover position, but the incumbent will receive work guidance from supervisor in currently assigned area.


Qualifications and Evaluations:


  • Requirements:

EXPERIENCE:
Two years of general clerical/administrative experience in an office environment is required.


JOB KNOWLEDGE:


Knowledge of office management and core tools such as the core Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint SharePoint) and computer literacy (keyboarding, internet searches), in order to perform assignment and do basic troubleshooting on information technology issues.


Knowledge on the use of, and ability to do basic troubleshooting on standard office equipment including copiers, fax, multi-line telephone systems, cellular or smart phones, tablet or lap top computers and digital senders and scanners.

SKILLS and ABILITIES


Skill in working with people from varied backgrounds, educational levels, and cultural surroundings in order to create and maintain an amiable and success-oriented working environment.

Skill in working positively with colleagues in order to promote harmony, cooperation, and good morale.

Professional judgment to make decisions within areas of responsibility to move projects forward and achieve section goals on-time. This includes knowing when it is necessary to seek guidance from more experienced employees.

Strong professional communication skills in writing and speaking. This includes ability to draft, format, and edit correspondence, report, memo, and other documentation as required. Ability to speak effectively and with clarity and conciseness.

Ability to obtain and possess a Top Secret clearance.

Completion of two years post-secondary education is required.

A "certification" is any written document from the armed forces that certifies the service member is expected to be discharged or released from active duty service in the armed forces under honorable conditions within 120 days after the certification is submitted by the applicant. The certification letter should be on letterhead of the appropriate military branch of the service and contain (1) the military service dates including the expected discharge or release date; and (2) the character of service.
