    The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work as Product Manager in Morgan Stanley Electronic Trading (MSET). The candidate should be self-motivated, proactive and have a genuine interest in electronic trading. The role requires an individual with strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively as part of a multi-region team.

    Qualified candidates have a strong background in electronic trading, business analysis, technical writing must be able to understand complex client trading scenarios, data rules and logic. The role is multifaceted and will require active engagement across simultaneous strategic projects focused on developing the execution product as well as engaging in real-time trading related incidents to manage risk / outages.

    The role will be based in Paris and the candidate will also be expected to act as an electronic trading subject matter expert for clients and local management.

    What will you be doing?

    The primary responsibility for this position is to ensure that the MSET trading infrastructure and client offering is appropriately managed. This will require working with peers globally to effectively manage the platform, systems and technology that MSET use to facilitate client flow. More specifically the role responsibilities include:

    • Understanding client execution needs and create optimised and risk managed services
    • Prioritization and coordinate of all aspects of the execution platform, including acting in liaison with various technology, risk management, compliance and operations teams
    • Act as an execution consultant and SME to EU clients for electronic trading related activities
    • Leverage deep understanding of the EU markets to identify opportunities to develop product for clients
    • Identify and adapt trading infrastructure to changes in EU market structure or regulation
    • Train and enforce procedures covering risk checks, limits management and the release of client orders
    • Collaborate with other MSET Product Managers to deliver MSET business initiatives

    Qualifications

    What we're looking for:

    At least 5 years relevant experience in electronic trading on multi asset classes (inc. Equities, Derivatives)

    • Knowledge of electronic trading technology
    • Knowledge of European market structure, regulatory and compliance landscape
    • Ability to provide client execution consultancy on execution products, market structure or EU regulation
    • Good knowledge of Probability, Numerical Analysis, Stochastic Calculus, Approximation theory, Partial Differential Equation and an expertise in either of these subjects
    • Develop functional specification, use case, process flow diagram and product documentation writing
    • Strong client facing communication skills and an ability to disseminate complex information clearly

    Skills that will help you in the role:

    • Ability to manage and prioritize numerous simultaneous large projects, small tasks and ad-hoc requests
    • Ability to work independently and to drive projects to completion
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to succinctly articulate complex concepts
