Service Market Logistics (SML) is responsible for the spare parts logistics of all the Volvo Group brands.

We are 3 700 colleagues in more than 50 locations worldwide, responsible for designing, managing and optimizing the Service Market supply chain based on innovative and smart logistics solutions.

What do we do?

Within SML Lyon & RMEA region (Lyon, Middle East & Africa Region), we operate in 6 Distribution centers to provide the best spare parts availability for our customers, everywhere in the world.

The Communication department is a business enabler and aims to create manoeuvrability for our operations through sense-making and effective communications.


Your responsibilities as a communication assistant are:
To assist the Lyon & RMEA Communication Director in the various internal communication activities, according to the communication roadmap by:

  • publishing relevant content in the digital tools (TEAMS & Digital boards) of the Region
- producing (Recording and editing) videos to managers in deploying effective communication
- securing that communications guidelines are well known, understood and applied.
- writing articles/ producing content for internal communication to highlight achievements of the sites and functions and foster recognition.


Who are you?

  • You have a good knowledge of various communication tools and channels and utilizes them in an effective way.
  • You are fluent in French and in English (both verbal and written)
  • You take the challenges with an open and positive mindset, a cando attitude and you take initiatives
  • You communicate in a customer friendly way and are a team player who can easily collaborate with other stakeholders
  • You are well organized and structured to manage several topics at the same time.

The position is based in Lyon, France. You will report to the Lyon & RMEA Communication Director.
