Short description:

We are looking for a Support Technician to strengthen the technical expertise and performance of our field personnel regarding our portable measuring arms and the RDS software.

You could be taking on a wider range of software/s as you progress in your role.

Tasks in detail:

Train Hexagon field personnel (Applications Engineers, Service Technicians and Sales Engineers) regarding both hardware and software, both at our factory in Montoire and at other Hexagon premises worldwide.
Improve training tools and develop training evaluation for continuous improvement.
Identify ways to improve our service/support offering.
Optimize branch support processes for better local support efficiency.
Implement customer support process models.
Test new products and software in collaboration with R&D.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues by replicating tests performed by our service centers.
Monitor the efficiency of the hotline, ensuring that reported cases are resolved as quickly as possible.

Requirements:

Technical background with 3 years of experience working with with electronics, mechanics or metrology.
Fluent English combined with excellent communication skills, written and spoken.
Experience working with a ticketing system (Jira or any other) will work in your favour.
Availability to travel, worldwide, up to 15% of the time.
Category B driving license.

What we offer:

This is an internal support function which offers a wide range of tasks and ways to develop your skills.
For the first 6 months, you would need to work from the office daily. From then onwards, you could start working hybrid, 3 days per week from the office, 2 days per week remote from home.
We will fully train you in this role. No previous experience is required with portable arms or other metrology devices, yet this experience would be very beneficial.
