Liebherr-Mining manufactures ultra-class hydraulic excavators and trucks for mining operations worldwide.


Liebherr provides through its worldwide organization the parts and services required to maintain the availability of our customers' excavators and trucks at the highest level.

The delivery of parts at the right time for planned and unplanned maintenance tasks is a permanent challenge. It requires the set-up of an efficient cross-border organization for parts' planning and inventory optimization.


Responsibilities:


  • The assignment program will cover the process of parts' planning, from the customer needs to the delivery of the parts. After a first period to understand the existing organization, you will work on a specific improvement project. At the end of the 18 months period, you will be well prepared to take a national or international position within Liebherr Mining.
  • 1st period (3 to 6 months): in Colmar / France, at Liebherr Mining, in the group Parts Planning & Business Processes, to understand the existing organization, systems in use and processes. This includes also training sessions.
  • 2nd period (6 to 9 months): abroad in a Liebherr Sales & Service company active in mining. The assignment will include operational tasks, training and participation to specific improvement projects. The assignment may be split in 2 different Liebherr companies.

Potential countries:
Australia, South Africa, Chile, USA, Indonesia

  • 3rd period (6 months): in a Liebherr company from another division (not Mining), to understand their organization in the domain of parts planning, and to share best practices learned during the previous periods

Competencies:


  • Degree in supply chain or engineer with specialization in supply chain
  • Project management skills
  • Knowledge in sales management ERP (SAP, BaaN, Oracle or other).
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Proficient in Excel reporting & analysis tools. Understanding of BI tools would be an added value.
  • Technical background will be appreciated.
  • English and French fluent (Spanish and / or German is an added value)
